Restoration of companies dissolved before 1969

The Government has published a revised draft of The Companies Act 2006 (Commencement No. 7 and Transitional Provisions) Order.

It includes a repeal of the current bar against restoring companies which were dissolved prior to 16 November 1969 to the register. This will enable former employees, their dependants and other people to pursue claims against any company which falls into this category for damages for death or personal injury.

The Department has invited comments on the revised draft Order by Friday 4 July.
